Cheeky Kick tips for a higher score

The fastest way to a high score in Cheeky Kick is to keep your combo alive and save your best shots for teasing animals, which pay double. Tap directly on the pink cheeks so the kick leads moving targets, and never pass up a golden animal.

1. Wait for the wiggle

A teasing dog or penguin stands still for about a second and a half and pays double. A calm, aimed tap at a wiggling animal is worth more than three rushed shots at moving targets.

2. Tap the cheeks, not the walker

The kick only leads a moving target when you tap on or near its pink cheeks. Tapping the middle of a walker sends the ball to where they are now, and by the time it arrives they have moved.

3. Protect your combo

A miss resets your multiplier to ×1, and the multiplier is where the big points are. At ×5 and above, only take shots you are confident about.

4. Front path first

The path closest to you has the biggest targets, so it is the easiest place to start a combo. Move to the far paths once your streak is going.

5. Watch for spins

Walkers sometimes spin around, which swaps their cheeks to the other side. Penguins spin most often. If a walker is mid-spin, wait a moment.

6. Use the beach ball when learning

The beach ball is bigger and more forgiving. Switch to the soccer ball once you are comfortable, because it arrives faster and leaves less time for targets to move.

7. Bank shots keep streaks alive

A ball that hits a walker bounces away and can hit a second walker. Kicks into a crowded path often score twice.

8. Save energy for the last 20 seconds

Walkers speed up and arrive more often as the clock runs down. That is when combos climb fastest, so keep your streak intact going into the final stretch.

9. Never ignore a golden animal

Golden dogs and penguins glow and tease more often. One teasing golden penguin at a ×9 combo is worth 1,800 points.

What is a good score?

A first round usually lands between 200 and 600 points. Once you start catching teasing animals with a combo running, scores above 1,500 are within reach, and a lucky golden animal late in the round can push you far past that.
